Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012

I got my very first VoxBox from Influenster and it has the most amazing things.  I received the Quaker Real Medley's oatmeal.  My  husband ate most of it since i'm not a big oatmeal fan.  He said the taste was good and he liked that it was portable.  He said he would probably reserve it for when he needed to eat on the go because he thought the price was a little high at 1.79 per container.  Also got the Goody Quickstyle brush which i LOVE!!! oh my gosh, with this brush i don't even need to use a straightener to get my hair the way i like it.  I only need the half round styler and blow dryer.  That is AMAZING!!!  my fave so far i think.  I haven't tried the Kiss Nail dress yet, but i plan to soon.  the NYC New York Color Liquid lipshine i like okay.  Not my favorite.  It smells kind of like carmel and the color is nude so it goes on clear.  It feels slightly sticky on my lips although its advertised as having a "non-sticky formula".  But what i dislike is the applicator.  It is long and so feels a little difficult to navigate onto the lips smoothly.  Back later with other items from my voxbox once i try them out! 

In the spirit of Giving

In the spirit of the season, i wanted to do something different today.  You often hear about people that do those "special things" for others.  Well i wanted to be one of those people.  There is a convenience store i stop at most mornings on my way to work in my small little town (my vice~ fountain soda!)  So this morning when i stopped in for my 1.50 32oz Diet Dr. Pepper fountain drink, i handed the owner $60.  When she looked up, i quietly told her that i wanted to pay for gas up to the change from my soda ($58.50) for the next person or persons that come into the store wanting to pay with cash.  I chose cash for a very specific reason.  I often notice in the mornings people will come in and get 20 dollars of gas or 30 for gas.  Those filling up with gas rarely fill the tank, so i thought by focusing on those, I might be able to be a blessing to more than i person during this season.  And the obvious second reason was i couldn't pay for those using cards at the pump!  I thought often during my day at work today who i might have helped and if the store owner provided the one thing i asked for in addition to giving the free gas.  I asked that she say God Bless You and have a Merry Christmas and let them know their gas was a gift by someone that wished to remain anonymous.  I would love for people that have been as blessed as I've been this year to be able to do that in your own towns.  To truly be a blessing to someone else.  Remember the Reason for the Season and that it is better to give than to receive.

LOVE MY FITBIT

So i've been using my fitbit for the last couple months and i LOVE it.  i really do not like exercise but i have been wanting to lose a little weight.  with the fitbit, i have been able to.  It monitors my steps and with the online log i can input the food i eat as well.  As long as i burn off more calories than i eat each day i win!  or i should say I lose!  yeah.... so easy.  This has allowed my a visual monitor of my progress.  i really love it.

My product review of the day is on covergirl outlast doule lipgloss.  i rated it a C.  While i usually Love Cover Girl products i didn't love this one.
